Superdrug launches new Pride line in partnership with Switchboard Helpline

The six-piece collection, will now help raise funds to train 22 more volunteers and answer more than 1700 calls, instant messages and emails over the course of a year

Are you gearing up for Pride celebrations this month? Count on your next beauty purchase with Superdrug – as the drugstore across the street just launched their own limited-edition collection of Pride capsules.

With six new products, Superdrug has committed to donating the entire £10,000 to Switchboard. Furthermore, the same goes for the Switchboard charity logo, phone number, and additional informational features on all products.

Switchboard costs around £450 to train and support each volunteer – so with Superdrug support they will enable Switchboard to train and support 22 new volunteers. Altogether, this could amount to more than 1700 calls, instant messages, and emails answered during the year.

This month, Superdrug and Unilever marked a 5-year milestone in support of the Switchboard Helpline, with donations throughout the partnership helping to support the Switchboard Helpline’s essential work in the future. LGBTQ+ community, sponsoring 266+ volunteers and up to 7000+ calls, instant messages and email replies over a 5 year period!

In fact, 2022 marks the 5th year of Unilever and Superdrug’s partnership with Switchboard – a charity dedicated to providing vital support to the LGBTQIA+ community. Superdrug Own-Brand, Unilever, Durex, Britney Spears and Berrocca have pledged to raise £55,000 in total.

Superdrug Chief Commercial Officer, Simon Comins, said: “We are proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ community through the continued support of the Switchboard Helpline, an important charity that provides an essential service. As we pass the 5-year milestone of our partnership, we are proud to be in a long-term partnership with our donations allowing a total of more than 19,000 hours of volunteer training, helping Switchboard continue to work. your important work. ”
