SUPERVALU and Centra stores are recalling several batches of rice products due to possible insects.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in the stores supplied with the relevant batches.
The recalled rice products originate from the Netherlands and include Boiled in Bags, long grain, basmati, whole grain and brown rice products.
The recall covers best before 2024 and 500g and 1kg packages.
This came as a series chicken goujons has been recalled from Aldi stores due to the presence of salmonella bacteria.
The recall affects batches of Roosters gluten-free breaded chicken fillet goujons.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in the Aldi stores provided with the relevant lot.
Warning has been issued for 400g size package with IE approval number 2410 EC. Lot codes are 211216, 16:00:00, 16.12.2021 best before 16/12.222.

A warning from Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: “Those infected Salmonella Symptoms usually develop 12 to 36 hours after infection, but can range from 6 to 72 hours.
“The most common symptom is diarrhea, which can sometimes be bloody.
“Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps. The illness usually lasts four to seven days.
“Diarrhea can sometimes be so severe that it requires hospitalization. The elderly, infants and people with weakened immune systems are more likely to become seriously ill.”
Consumers are advised not to eat the relevant batches.
