Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid praised her ITV co-star Kate Garraway as “absolutely incredible” for navigating family life “difficult” during the pandemic.
eid, 51, said she was “lucky to work with some incredible women” on the breakfast show, but singled out Garraway as particularly inspirational.
Garraway, 54, recently released a follow-up documentary to her award-winning show, which follows her family’s life after her husband Derek Draper became critically ill with Covid-19.
Appearing on Loose Women on International Women’s Day on Tuesday, Reid said: “I am truly blessed to be working with some of the incredible women on Good Morning Britain: Ranvir Singh; Charlotte Hawkins; and the wonderful Kate Garraway, who I think is one of those inspirational women that so many have also looked up to.
“I mean, my goodness, we’ve all gotten through this pandemic but no one has had a tough home life like Kate with poor Derek and the path he’s been affected by.
“She was completely unbelievable. The way she continues to go to work and become a wonderful mother and a wonderful partner to her wonderful husband is truly inspirational. ”
Reid and Garraway are among 27 female TV stars from Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women who have come together to celebrate International Women’s Day this year.
They were photographed wearing outfits with different shades of red, pink, chestnut and orange to celebrate the occasion.
