Susanna Reid has wished Piers Morgan luck ahead of the launch of his new broadcasting venture.
organ returns to screens with its show Piers Morgan Uncensored, which launches April 25 on TalkTV in the UK.
While promoting the show last week, the former Good Morning Britain host, 57, said Reid, whom he previously called his “TV wife”, has yet to text him a congratulatory message.
He said, “Did she wish me luck? I don’t think she really has, but there’s still time. I’m sure she will, we’ll keep in touch.
“It’s difficult, you know, we had this arranged marriage and it turned out to be very successful. And then suddenly one afternoon we got divorced, that’s it…
“So I assumed I’d see Susanna Reid in her curlers at 4 a.m. every day … until I didn’t see her anymore. So we keep in touch through texting and stuff, but it’s a little, you know, it’s really all been a little bit dramatic and sad.
“I think we both feel that, we both felt like we had some of the greatest chemistry on screen and it all ended in a pretty silly way I think.
“But their loss will be TalkTV’s gain. And Piers Morgan Uncensored will fill that awful void you’ve all felt over the past year. Don’t worry, the wait will soon be over.”

The former tabloid editor has since shared a picture of a WhatsApp message from Reid that read, “Good luck.” Morgan posted it on Twitter, captioning it in capital letters: “BREAKING NEWS.”
Reid, 51, and Morgan co-hosted ITV’s flagship morning show for more than five years and have become a popular presenting duo.
However, their TV partnership ended abruptly after Morgan left the ITV breakfast show last year after saying he didn’t believe the Duchess of Sussex’s claims during her headline-grabbing interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The show, which saw Morgan storming off the ITV set, was the most-complained TV episode of 2021, prompting more than 50,000 complaints to Ofcom, which later said Good Morning Britain had not breached the Broadcasting Code over Morgan’s controversial comments .
Alluding to her famous on-screen eye roll as she sat next to Morgan, Reid shared an article in which she tweeted, “Good luck — and some eye rolls for old times sake.”
No permanent replacement has been announced following Morgan’s departure from ITV, with stars including Richard Madeley and others appearing in a rotating cast of guest presenters.
TalkTV launches April 25 with shows from Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Tom Newton Dunn, former political editor of The Sun.
The launch schedule begins with The News Desk at 7pm, hosted by Newton Dunn, followed by Morgan’s global show Uncensored at 8pm, broadcast from studio facilities in Ealing, west London, and The Talk with Osbourne, which airs weekdays at 9pm clock is broadcast.
Uncensored streams on Fox Nation in the US and airs on Sky News Australia.
TalkTV will air 24/7 on Sky (526), Virgin Media (627), Freeview (237) and Freesat (217) and will be available on online services including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and YouTube.
