Susanna Reid tried her best to praise Daniel Radcliffe on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain show, but he didn’t get it.
The Harry Potter actor joined Susanna and her co-host Ben Shephard to the ITV studios to chat about his new movie, The Lost City, which also stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.
At one point, Ben pointed out that Sandra asked Daniel to get his autograph for her sister because she was a huge Harry Potter fan.
“That’s pretty cool, isn’t it?” Ben commented, when Daniel replied: “Absolutely possible. Strangely, my mind is blown by the idea that that would impress anyone but it’s very flattering.”
“I know you don’t want to be stuck in that role, but when you work with these actors and you talk about these actors and this status and profile, you also have that character and profile to you. with those actors??” Then Susanna asked Daniel.
“I don’t know…” he replied as Susanna quickly said, “Don’t be modest about it, Daniel!”
“I could never… like I’ve watched Sandra Bullock’s movies all my life, she’s such an icon, I could never have thought of myself in that genre, so that’s fine with you. but I wouldn’t agree!” Then Daniel said.
“Well, we’d put you in that category regardless,” Ben told him, before adding, “I think the fact that they’re so excited to work with you for that legacy and for you as well. being a great actor, is a testament to that.”
Then Ben decided to grill Daniel about the possibility that he would play Wolverine in the future.
Daniel said: “I’m constantly asked about it and always try to be like ‘no, it’s not happening, it’s just a rumor on Twitter’.
Good Morning Britain airs at 6am weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub.
