Suspicious driver arrested in Western Road, Brighton

A man spotted driving “suspiciously” has been arrested after being found with drug dealing equipment and a large amount of cash.

Officials saw the car at around 10pm last night in Western Road, Brighton.

Large amounts of cash and objects related to the drug trade were found in the car and the 20-year-old was arrested.

Around 10:40 p.m., three police cars were at the scene near the Taj supermarket.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “A search of the vehicle found a significant amount of cash and items related to drug dealing, as well as evidence the driver was driving without a license or insurance.

“A 20-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of concern over the supply of Class A drugs, money laundering, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

“He currently remains in custody.”
