THREE men have been charged with the murder of a 47-year-old man.
Police were called after a man was found seriously injured ashore in Marlpit Lane, Emsworth at 11.10am on Saturday 23 July.
He was flown to Southampton General Hospital in an ambulance but died on Monday July 25.
Investigators classified the circumstances of the man’s death as suspicious and initiated an investigation.
On Wednesday, the investigation led to the arrest of Joseph Butler (22), Tarin Hopkins (20) and Thomas Goldring (20).
Butler, Priors Leaze Lane, Hambrook, Hopkins, Common Road, Hambrook, and Goldring, Lockerley Road, Havant have since been charged with murder.
All three men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear in Crawley Magistrates’ Court on August 1.
The victim’s relatives will continue to be assisted by specialized officers, police said.
