Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to the Horsham Park attack

An appeal was made after a man was allegedly pushed off his bike and assaulted twice.

The victim was believed to be riding his bicycle around 4:55pm on Sunday 16 October when a group of people believed to be between the ages of 15 and 18 pushed him off his bicycle and attacked him.

After initially escaping the Horsham Park incident, the victim was pursued and attacked a second time by the group.

Members of the public were eventually able to chase the group towards the Kaya in the Park restaurant. The victim suffered numerous facial injuries and was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.

Sussex Police are continuing their investigation and are particularly keen to speak to a witness who is believed to have filmed the incident using a mobile phone.
