Sussex Police are investigating the attack in Worthing

A man and woman were attacked after an altercation on a bus involving men in costumes.

Sussex Police said the incident happened at around 3.30am on October 30 in Brighton Road, Worthing, just after the man and woman got off the Stagecoach 700 bus near the junction with Windsor Road.

Police said it had been reported that there was an altercation on board the bus involving other passengers on board, including some men in costumes wearing white lab coats.

One suspect was described as a thin white male in his early 20s, 6 feet, with blonde hair that was curly at the top.

The second suspect was described as a slim male of mixed race in his early 20s, 1.60m tall, with short dark hair.

A third suspect was described as a slim white male in his early 20s with short brown hair that was shaved on the sides.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Officers have been following lines of inquiry as part of the investigation and police would like any witnesses or anyone with any information about what happened to come forward.

“Anyone with information should report this to Sussex Police online or call 101 and provide serial number 266 dated 30/10. indicate.”
