Sussex Police are investigating the Bognor Regis attack
A man suffered serious facial injuries after the robbery.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident in Bognor town center on Sunday 2nd October.
At around 10.45pm, emergency services were called to Station Road to report that a man had been injured in an attack.
Sussex Police said two suspects – a man and a woman – were seen fleeing the scene towards London Road.
The man was white, wearing a mid-length coat and white T-shirt.
The woman was also white and wore a white T-shirt, a short dark coat, dark trousers and dark shoes.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist in the investigation is asked to contact us online or by telephone on 101 quoting serial number 1224 dated 10.02.
