Sussex Police arrest a man after Crawley was stabbed

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Crawley.

Police were called to Lansbury Road just after 9pm on Friday (11 November) following reports of an attack.

A 19-year-old man was found with potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Brighton’s Royal Sussex County Hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “This is being treated as an individual case where it is assumed that both parties were known to each other.

“The public can expect an increased police presence in the area while the investigation is ongoing.

“Anyone who saw what happened or has other information about what happened is asked to contact police online or call 101 and quote Operation Amberley.
