Sussex Police arrest a woman in Hastings after an attack outside Iceland

A WOMAN has been arrested after a man sustained a neck injury during a “dispute” outside an Icelandic shop.

Officials visited Castle Street in Hastings after receiving reports of a woman assaulting a man outside the shop in Iceland between 6.15pm and 6.30pm on Sunday 28 August.

Sussex Police arrested a 33-year-old woman known to the victim on suspicion of aggravated assault.

She has since been released on bail pending investigations.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the altercation to come forward.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The area was busy at the time of the attack and investigators are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the altercation.

“They would also like to hear from anyone who saw the man and woman sitting on the ground by the bus stop just before the altercation.”
