Sussex Police attend after Brighton bus stopped for ‘fighting’
Police were called to a reported brawl on a bus that resulted in passengers being forced off the bus.
The bus was forced to halt its journey after stopping near Olive Road on Brighton’s Old Shoreham Road.
Passengers eventually disembarked the number 2 bus bound for Steyning after three police cars were called to the scene.
Brighton and Hove Buses tweeted that the 4.15am bus bound for Steyning would not be leaving “due to an incident being dealt with by the police”.
After boarding a new bus, a passenger was heard jokingly saying to the driver, “No fighting on that bus then.”
It is currently unclear what led to the incident just before 4pm on Sunday November 20th.
Sussex Police have been asked for comment.
