Sussex Police issue an update after a biker was stabbed in Findon

A GROUP of men arrested after attacking three bikers have been released on bail.

One man was seriously stabbed and two others injured in the altercation on the A24 in Findon on Saturday night.

Witnesses reported seeing three members of Surrey’s Vikings Motorcycle Club injured after they were attacked in the town near Worthing.

Vikings used to ride west through Brighton.

They were attacked while stopping at Findon on Saturday night after becoming separated from the rest of the group.

Sussex Police said eight arrests have since been made by officers from Sussex, Thames Valley and Warwickshire Police Forces after the suspects left the scene before emergency services arrived.

Forensics at the crime scene

The arrested men have all been released on bail and investigations are ongoing.

Passers-by told of the moment they rushed to the bikers’ aid after the attack.

Joanne Denise wrote on Facebook: “Mike and I were cycling and just came across an incident in the Findon Valley when it happened, three unfortunate men on motorcycles were injured in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack.

“Saw cars and a van with people jumping in and driving away.

“We provided first aid to two of them until the ambulance arrived (seems like they’d be fine, thank goodness) and Mike directed traffic until the ambulance arrived.

“A lot of great people helped.

“Please tell the police if you see anything.

“I spoke to one of their wives on the phone and the men drove down from Surrey with the Surrey Vikings that we saw [the] Front.”
