Sussex Police launch appeal into Eastbourne rape case
Police are looking for a man they want to speak to after a suspected rape.
Detectives are investigating a report of a rape that occurred near Melbourne Road, Eastbourne, at around 12.10am on Tuesday 27th September.
The victim is assisted during the investigation by specially trained officers.
As part of the investigation, detectives are keen to speak to a man who may have information that could help them with their investigation.
The man is described as an Eastern European, believed to be in his early to mid-twenties, about 1.60 meters tall and wearing a gray tracksuit and vest.

Anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage from the area has been asked to report it to detectives.
Police Officer Lisa Hampson said: “While this is an active investigation, we believe this is an isolated case. We understand the impact this can have on the local community, which is why there will be increased high-visibility patrols in the area to reassure residents.”
