Sussex Police respond to an incident on the beach near Saltdean Lido
Police are conducting an investigation at a beach after a tent was erected near the shore.
Several police officers have been called to an incident on the beach near Saltdean Lido.
An eyewitness reported seeing several police cars and a large group of officers at the scene. A blue police tent can be seen near the waterline on the beach.
The eyewitness said: ‘We are directly opposite Saltdean Lido and there is a blue tent on one of the groynes.
“There are a lot of cops keeping people away.
“A van just came down, I can’t see what’s in the tent. They didn’t want to tell me.”
Sussex Police have been asked for comment on the incident.
