Sussex’s Ollie Robinson has been recalled by England

Ollie Robinson has been recalled to England attack for Thursday’s second Test against South Africa.

He replaces Matthew Potts in his first appearance in seven months.

The Sussex sailor has not played for his country since the Ashes last game in January due to a series of fitness issues but has been awarded the contract at Emirates Old Trafford.

Robinson convinced selectors he was ready to impress with a strong performance in the England Lions’ win over the Tourists at Chelmsford earlier this month, with Potts eliminated after struggling for rhythm in last week’s innings loss at Lord’s.

That’s the only change to the XI, with opening players Zak Crawley and Alex Lees retained despite a lack of big runs this summer. Sussex’s Ollie Robinson has been recalled by England
