SWTOR’s Chris Schmidt breaks the scene with major changes based on player feedback Starting in 7.01

Player feedback on the large number of changes to the base game in Star Wars: The Old Republicas well as all new content in Legacy of the Sith extension has received a few responses recently. First, Project Manager Keith Kanneg published a response to the community and specifically addressed the fixes in the work, along with new content. Now, Design Director Chris Schmidt is following up on Kanneg’s post to provide more context on what’s coming in the 7.0.1 update.

Schmidt’s overall response is intended to provide more context on how they’ve achieved some of the upcoming changes. Like Kanneg, he also reiterates the importance of testing on PTS.

“For patch 7.0, we had a vision for how players could experience repeatable content and how the game would encourage and reward content around the galaxy, especially highlighting nature. the new shared tagging feature that we’re excited about,” he said, before emphasizing the team’s intention to make it easier for team players to share the same content, even if they’re meant to complete other tasks. different goals. What happened to this “Vision of Featured Content” was that the Content didn’t work as they expected and instead caused friction among players.

Changes coming to 7.0.1 include removing the intention of opening all Veterans Flash Points at level 15 and leaving their existing level caps unchanged instead. All Flashpoints will be available weekly instead of rotating in and out. In addition, all Weekly Quests for daily newspapers and heroes will always be available.

To work around this, the rewards will have some additional changes, to decrease the material obtained through deconstruction but increase the material rewarded by completing the weekly Team Search quest.

More changes will appear in future updates to reduce the disparity between difficulty, length, and completion time in all Flashpoints. The beginning of these changes is now on PTS.

Schmidt’s full post is well worth a read, with all the details available on the changes in 7.0.1 and beyond, including what’s on the current PTS, as we work towards improvements. good SWTOR. SWTOR’s Chris Schmidt breaks the scene with major changes based on player feedback Starting in 7.01
