Step one

If you don’t wash your face before applying makeup, you’re committing a crime. I started with Tatcha’s Rice washing cream face washOle Henriksen’s Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner and then, to really make my face look succulent, C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème. With makeup, I’m a MAC girl. I put Glass cup clear about first and then Dazzleglass in Sugarrimmed. I wish I knew about Laura Mercier flour earlier; I remember, when I put on makeup, my face would peel off because I didn’t know people put baking powder on. For pharmacy products, Cetaphil’s Healthy Glow Daily Cream Deep Moisturizing Cream keep my skin moisturized. I like to rub it on my feet and then put my socks on. With scents I love warm notes like musk and vanilla; Finally I want to debut with my own perfume. At night, I use Farmacy’s Clear face wash or by Dior Prestige Le Baume Démaquillant. I melt my makeup with a hot rag, then use the washcloth to clean off the rest. One life changing treatment I have discovered is sports massage. When I learned the difference between a sports masseuse and a regular masseuse, I realized that I needed a sports person because I work and travel a lot. I have a lot of problems that I need to get out of.

In the summer of 2019, visitors to the Greek island of Hydra were greeted by the surreal sight of a giant mythical creature: the sea goat Capricornus, striding atop an ancient stone building as its tail colorful fluttering in the wind. It’s the opening to a multi-part installation by artist Kiki Smith “Memory” at Deste . Foundation Project Space, an old slaughterhouse perched on a hill overlooking the ocean. Inside are more sculpted creatures, both imaginary and real, tied to the specific mythology of the island and the history of space as a sacrificial site: mercenaries, owls, cats, ropes bronze goats, all bathed in the eerie pink glow of installed Rubino Smith glass throughout. The show’s catalog, “Kiki Smith: Memory”, currently conveys a vivid sense of asexual space with numerous photographs and critiques and behind-the-scenes photos of the making and installation, as well as Smith’s concept drawings. $30,

At the height of the first pandemic in 2020, Jacob Winter, a 23-year-old marketing student at Baruch University, pulled rugs in his family’s garage in Patchogue, Long Island. The playful, vibrant, and strangely engaging results caught the attention of his friends, and before long he was asking for a commission.
