Who says fans can’t be creative?

The ways people express their love for the Pokémon franchise are diverse, to say the least, but one fan still managed to stand out with their own creative homage to the franchise.
Known as MikavdCrochet, they have a talent for creating crochet patterns that can be used to create inventive and strikingly detailed Pokémon plushies and figures. Their latest pattern is for the new Paradox Pokémon, Sandy Shocks, and they gave the creation an extra level of detail by placing magnets under the crochet. They showed how the pattern turned out a post on the Pokemon Redditwhere it was praised by all quarters of the fans.
However, this is far from the first video game related pattern MikavdCrochet has created. Their Reddit account is full of examples of other Pokémon they’ve created crochet patterns for, including Primordial Kyogre, the Paldean variant of Wooper, and Clodsire. They’ve also created crochet patterns for characters from Genshin Impact, which received similar praise for their quality when shared.
Any pattern they created can also be purchased. MikavdCrochet has an Etsy where they sell instructions on how to create a specific pattern for specific Pokemon and Genshin characters. This guide contains step-by-step instructions on how to make each creation, what materials are needed, and other useful tools that can help even a newbie to crochet their own handmade symbol of their fandom.
