Tales of Arise has sold 2 million copies

stories of creation has achieved another sales milestone for Bandai Namco.

According to the company, the game has sold over 2 million copies since its release on September 10, 2021.

As previously reported, the game sold over 1 million copies worldwide within days of its release, becoming the fastest-selling title in franchise history. As October rolled around, it was announced that the game was sold another 500,000 copies.

Now, with a 2 million mark on its belt, the game is catching up with the second best selling game in the series, Tales of Vesperia, which has sold over 2.37 million copies as of March 2021. The current best-selling game in the franchise is Tales of Symphonia with 2.4 million copies sold.

If our math is correct, the franchise has now surpassed 27 million units sold worldwide.

In our review, Tales of Arise was called “one of the best JRPGs in years” by Alex Donaldson, and other reviewers’ reviews were pretty solid too.

Tales of Arise, the seventeenth main installment in the Tales series, follows two people from opposite worlds who yearn to change their destinies and create a new future for themselves and their people.

In a solar system containing the planets Dahna and Rena, the inhabitants of the former have always paid homage to their neighbors on Rena, seen from the sky, as the land of the just and the divine.

Here, legends and lore about Rena and its people have been passed down through generations and have become facts in their minds over time, masking a grim reality for the people of Dahna.

You see, for 300 years the people of Rena have ruled Dahna and during that time they have plundered the planet’s resources and robbed its people of their dignity and freedom.
