Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed that she pretended her late mother was still alive, following her sudden death in 2018.
The actor, 51, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, opening her co-stars Gabby Logan, 48, and Chelcee Grimes, 29, on the show .
It came about during a discussion about motherhood, with EastEnders staff taking the opportunity to mention her late mother Anna Santis, who passed away from a heart attack at the age of 67.
Speaking of her, Tamzin said: “I think she will always live – she will be the last to die.” She later admitted that she imagined that her mother was living abroad.
She said: “I still think now that she is living in Spain, where she was and is happy. I just think she is there.” The actor further commented on this: “I was just pretending, in my head”.
Earlier in the conversation, Tamzin said “there’s never been anything you can do right as a parent”, describing her mother as someone who is both “imperfect” and “awesome” at the same time. his life.
Opening, she added: “Now all I think about is I just want one more talk, one more cuddle. And now I realize what she’s like – laughter, glares. light and comfortable energy.”

Tamzin spoke about her late mother in an episode earlier last week, where she expressed concern about the possibility of a heart attack – just like her mother.
It came during the participants’ first challenge, in which they were tasked with jumping into a frozen lake – with the help of a team backed by extreme athlete Wim Hof, 62.
The BBC show – hosted by Holly Willoughby, 41, and Lee Mack, 53 – sees participants undertake a series of challenges designed to take them out of their comfort zones.
This included testing them both physically and mentally, with other celebrities including Dianne Buswell, an alumnus of the serious dance group, Dianne Buswell, 32, and performer Alfie Boe, 48 year old.
