Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed toyboy lover Tom Child has made her feel “sexier than ever”.
Tamzin, 51, has been dating 30-year-old fitness trainer and documentary maker Child for four years.
The mother-of-two, who played Mel Owen on the BBC soap, added that she was “very happy in her own skin” after admitting she was “controlling” during her marriage to Lucifer star Tom Ellis and always has been battled hormonal struggles from which she spilled in 2013.
Ellis had been caught cheating on her with Lost actress Emilie de Ravin before the couple split, though Tamzin admitted she wasn’t “the best version” of herself during that relationship either.
Tamzin dated guitarist Barrington Thirlway Jnr before finding happiness with Child despite the more than 20-year age difference. Outlining the impact her young boyfriend had on her life, The sun reported, Tamzin said, “I’ve honestly never felt sexier, and I think it’s because of that [Tom] You can really tell that I’m in a phase of my life where I really feel good and I’m really happy.

“And I adore him, we’re having a wonderful time. But if he wasn’t there, I wouldn’t be in the corner, on the floor, sliding down the walls and crying.
“I would still have my entire life and he just makes that better, and that’s the beauty of it.”
Speaking about the conflicting feelings she experienced being married to Netflix star Ellis, with whom she shares two children – Marnie and Florence – Tamzin revealed: “I feel like there’s always been a hormonal imbalance that’s been affecting the relationship Giving birth or miscarrying or whatever and not going full time with babies.
“So I feel like I was either pregnant, trying to conceive, or just post-pregnancy for much of this marriage. So I wouldn’t say I was the best version of myself.”
Tamzin is currently taking part in Wim Hoff’s reality survival show Freeze the Fear, hosted by Holly Willoughby on BBC One. But when she broached the subject of her career and aging, she explained that she had no interest in striving to be “relevant,” arguing, “I don’t feel like it’s important to be relevant or to be at the forefront of drama or television.

“I feel very happy in a place where I’m in my own skin. The gratitude I feel for getting this far in this industry in the first place is so great and I feel like yes I know I’ve worked hard but I’ve also been lucky. I don’t feel like this industry owes me anything.”
She went on to tell Gabby Logan’s The Mid-Point podcast that she will not starve herself to land a role that requires her to be skinny.
