Tayto Park announces new dinosaur-themed roller coaster


Tayto Park has announced plans to open a new dinosaur roller coaster for kids, “Dino Dash.”

ino Dash will open on Saturday April 9th, just in time for the normally busy Easter holidays.

“Dino Dash will be a ride for budding dinosaur enthusiasts, giving them the opportunity to get up close and personal with raptors, T-Rex, Triceratops and more.

The 260 m long roller coaster reaches speeds of 50 km/h, heights of 11.7 m and is built with an innovative track design that is the first of its kind in the world. It is built by the Dutch company Vekoma.

This €3 million new track seats 10 safari carriages, each seating 20 people, and is designed to offer dino fans the ultimate roaring adventure!

At the opening, Tayto Park founder Raymond Coyle said: “At Tayto Park we are always looking for innovative and creative ways to enhance the family experience at our theme park and zoo, and what better way to do that than a dinosaur – Roller coaster with the world’s first innovative track design.

“I have no doubt this will be a popular choice with our younger visitors, with many new attractions in the pipeline as part of our €30m investment over the next two years.”

Tayto Park is also hosting the Ultimate Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, where children are invited to come and crack the secret code to discover Mr. Tayto’s hidden stash of chocolate eggs scattered around the theme park and zoo.

The zoo will also be open over Easter with more than 250 animals and 100 species for you to get up close and personal with. Tayto Park announces new dinosaur-themed roller coaster
