TCL’s 55-inch LED-backlit Series 6 Mini TV is $659.99 today

OLED may be the pinnacle of TV panels, but they’re still expensive — even after discounts. A very good alternative, the TCL 6 mini-series with LED backlighting and HDMI 2.1 connectors, has dropped to a new low price today.

TCL’s 55-inch 6 Series with Google TV is discounted to just $659.99 ($290 off) at Best Buy. The mini LED backlight is a great replacement when paying OLED prices is off the table. It has excellent brightness with more control than standard LED and is able to maintain deeper black levels while displaying great color contrast. Sound a bit familiar? It may not be pretty much as good as OLED, but it’s in the same league.

This TCL TV also has two HDMI 2.1 ports and support for variable refresh rates up to 120Hz at 4K resolutions – a perfect match for powering the Xbox Series X, PC and PlayStation 5. It also runs the Google TV software and even supports Google assistant voice commands with built-in microphone.

It’s hard to beat today’s offering when you need a TV that’s good for all-purpose, especially if you’re watching TV/gaming in a brightly lit room and are on a budget. Read our review.

Cyberpunk 2077 is only $4.99 for both Xbox or PlayStation physical versions today at Best Buy. We saw this game drop to $10 a while ago in 2021, but it seems Best Buy still has plenty of discs to dump at an even lower price — a price that could actually turn a profit at this point , if you wish traded to GameStop.

CD Projekt Red is highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 released in Fall 2020. After a disastrous start, the team updated the game several times to improve performance and fix bugs. Recently, Patch 1.5 added content and updated the game to improve performance on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

If you’re looking for an affordable smartwatch and you want one with great battery life, this is the Amazfit GTR 2e is currently only $99.99 at Amazon. This smartwatch has taken many of the features from its more expensive GTR 2 brethren and made them more affordable. And now the GTR 2e is $40 cheaper than usual.

While we haven’t reviewed the GTR 2e, our resident wearables expert, Victoria song, has used its GTR 2 counterpart and thinks it’s a solid option if you’re on a budget and don’t mind that it’s more of a fitness tracker than a feature-packed smartwatch. Supporting both iOS and Android phones, the Amazfit GTR 2e has many of the fitness and health features you’d expect, including GPS tracking and heart rate monitoring for workouts, as well as sleep tracking. Amazfit claims it can last up to 24 days on a single charge, although it might not go that far with features like an always-on display. The GTR 2e isn’t as extensive when it comes to notifications and tight software integration with your smartphone as an Apple Watch, but for around $100 you might be able to forgive that.

For those of you who have an iPhone and would rather buy a more feature-rich Apple Watch, there are still great discounts available for the Apple Watch Series 7 and SE. First the flagship The Apple Watch Series 7 in its 41mm size with GPS and Wi-Fi costs $329 ($70 off) on Amazon. It’s Apple’s latest and greatest watch, with a slightly larger screen that makes it easier to read details on your watch face with just a glance.

For those looking to spend less, the Apple Watch SE in its 40mm size with GPS and Wi-Fi is $229 ($50 off). Amazon and Walmart. It largely retains the performance and specs of the previous-generation Series 6 – in the body of the older Series 4 – but at a much more affordable price point, with the main downside being a lack of ECG (electrocardiogram) and an always-on display.
