TCM will celebrate Angela Lansbury with a 24 Hour Film Marathon in November

Just a few days ago, we lost Angela Lansbury, the legendary Goddess of both stage and screen, just before her 97th birthday. As one of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Lansbury has starred in a number of stellar films and received critical acclaim for her talent. Prior to his death, Lansbury had won six Tony Awards (including a Lifetime Achievement Award), six Golden Globe Awards, a Laurence Olivier Award, and an Academy Honor Award. Though she never took the statues home, she was nominated for three Academy Awards, a Grammy, and a whopping eighteen Primetime Emmy Awards. Lansbury has been loved the world over for generations, whose artistry and humility have made her one of history’s most beloved celebrities.

To celebrate her life and career, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will host a 24-hour tribute next month. Lansbury’s film career spans nearly eight decades and with over 50 films to choose from, TCM certainly has plenty of great work to recommend. The company also noted in their official press release that Lansbury is also close friends with TCM’s first host, Robert Osborne, and has attended two TCM Classic Film Festivals in Hollywood.

She is a living legend and a devoted supporter of cinema, and she will be overlooked. Keep reading below for the full schedule of the Angela Lansbury anniversary marathon.
