CRAGGY Island fans are celebrating as the iconic TedFest prepares to return from the pandemic.
And organizers insist that beloved rabbis will never go wrong with the Woke generation because they turn up in their crowds for the celebration each year.
That’s according to founder Peter Philips, who announced the return of his Craggy Island festival to Inis Mór on the Aran Islands next month.
The past 12 months could see Channel 4 issue ‘not suitable for younger audiences’ warnings on two episodes of Father Ted available on the Ch4 player.
But Peter revealed that he’s not worried about Ted and Dougal being canceled as the show continues to attract new fans.
Peter told The Irish Sun: “The Woke generation is the people who come to TedFest.
“We take college students in their early 20s, and graduate students in their mid to late twenties.
“I would say the average age of TedFest is 28, most of them were never even born when Father Ted was first introduced.

“They all know the reverse. They weren’t offended and they kept coming back. “
The Ch4 warning concerns an episode where a priest dressed in black impersonates a member of the Supremes and a later episode has the impression of a Chinese man.
“There are some old TV shows that should have warnings, but Father Ted is not one of them,” Peter stressed. It’s just too ridiculous.”
Postponed since last November, TedFest runs from Thursday 3 March to Sunday 6 March, with the Wales-based organizer claiming he is not afraid of a new strain of Covid.
“Years before the pandemic, we would all return from Tedfest with what we call the ‘Craggy Island Cough’ that comes from being crammed into a pub with so many people.
“I believe that has given us all immunity to Covid and it remains to this day”.
The original members, Fr Damo (Joe Rooney) and Eoin McLove (Patrick McDonell) have been confirmed to participate in Tedfest 2022.
