Teenager injured in hit-and-run in Worthing
A 14-year-old boy was hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident and seriously injured.
Sussex Police said the teenager was walking along the beach in Goring, Worthing, near the junction of Coleridge Road when he was hit by a silver BMW 530 around 8.20pm on Friday (11 November).
He suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment.
The car also crashed into a lamp post and the wall of a residential building. The inmates then fled the scene before police intervened.
The police are looking for witnesses.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Officers investigating the collision are asking all witnesses to get in touch, including anyone who may have seen a silver BMW 530 driven in or around the area at the time.
“Anyone with information or relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage is asked to email Collision.Appeal@sussex.Police.uk or telephone 101 quoting serial number 1243 dated 11 November.”
