Horrifying propaganda footage of Russia ‘firing thermobaric missiles’

An alarming Russian propaganda video shows terrifying thermobaric missiles capable of melting human organs.

In the clip, soldiers can be seen loading long missiles onto a launcher while upbeat Russian orchestral music plays in the background.

The military vehicle then rolls into position at the edge of a field before firing the jets and launching the missiles.

They can be seen making their way through the clear blue sky before hitting the ground and sending up a large cloud of thick smoke.

It is unclear whether the footage, which was circulated on semi-official Russian Telegram channels, was shot during the Ukraine conflict or whether it is previously shot promotional material for the deadly weapon.

Separate videos circulating on social media appear to show the aftermath of the TOS-1A Solntsepek 24-barreled multiple rocket launcher, which ignites the surrounding area when fired.

It was claimed the launcher was sighted near Mariupol, although this has not been confirmed.

Moscow defense sources claimed: “The TOS-1A Solntsepek was used by the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic with the support of the Russian army during a special operation in Ukraine against Ukrainian nationalists.”

While the Solntsepek can fire a range of weapons, it is closely linked to the use of thermobaric missiles, which the Russian military boasted about using a decade ago.

The missiles are considered some of the deadliest on the battlefield today, so much so that their use is tightly regulated.

Russian missiles explode at a much higher temperature than most, and their explosions last longer than conventional weapons.

The resulting heat can massively damage internal organs and cause burns.

Sebastian Roblin, a military expert, writes for 19fortyfive.comsaid: “A TOS-1 missile fire will obliterate everything within the 200 x 300 meter blast zone.”

The UK Ministry of Defense confirmed that previous footage had shown Moscow using the TOS-1A against Ukraine.

The defense organization said if Vladimir Putin used the weapon against civilians, he would have violated the laws of war.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed the deployment of the TOS-1A weapon system in Ukraine. The TOS-1A uses thermobaric missiles that produce incendiary and explosive effects,” the Defense Department tweeted at the start of the conflict.

If claims that Russia has once again used thermobaric missiles are confirmed, it will fit into a pattern of escalating aggression and more extreme military action seen this weekend.

Russia fired cruise missiles from ships this weekend

Russian ships in the Black Sea and Caspian Sea launched cruise missile attacks on Ukraine today and yesterday, firing hypersonic missiles from Crimea’s airspace.

One of the strikes destroyed a large fuel depot in the Nikolaev region of southern Ukraine, while another damaged a workshop used to repair damaged armored vehicles.

Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Kinzhal hypersonic missiles (Dagger) were also fired from the airspace of Crimea, the peninsula that Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

Russia also hit a Ukrainian military preparation center that was stationed with foreign fighters who joined Kiev’s armed forces.
