Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Lidl “Do not eat” warnings for product recalls

Asda, Tesco, Lidl and Aldi are among the UK supermarkets that have put “do not eat” warnings on some of their products.

Food recalls have been issued in leading supermarkets for a variety of reasons, including undeclared ingredients and an outbreak of disease-causing bacteria.

Aldi recall

Aldi has recalled one of its products due to a packaging defect that posed a health hazard.

The supermarket is calling theirs back Bramwell’s Tartar Sauce because it contains sulphites that are not indicated on the label.

Bramwell’s Tartare Sauce labels were incorrectly placed on Bramwell’s Horseradish Sauce.

The error means the product poses a health risk to people with a sensitivity to sulfur dioxide or sulphites.

Tesco recall

tesco has issued a Do not eat warning. and is recall of one of its products due to undeclared milk which could pose a possible health risk to customers.

The supermarket fruit and nut mix contains milk, which is not mentioned on the label, making it a possible health hazard for those with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk components.

Tesco is recalling the product from consumers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organizations who will notify their members of the recall.

Lidl recall

Lidl is recall one of its products because it may contain disease-causing bacteria.

That Supermarket recalled its Eridanous Greek Smoked Mackerel Fillet with Olives and Oregano with Soybean Oil because Listeria monocytogenes was found in the product.

That bacteria can survive and even grow under refrigeration and cause listeriosis, which can last for several weeks depending on the severity.

Asda recall

Asda is issuing a precautionary recall of Asda White Lasagna Sauce due to a potential microbiological contamination risk due to a manufacturing defect.

The issue only affects products sold in Asda stores in the North West of England, North Midlands and North Wales.

Ardo recall

The FSA, together with Ardo NV, is recalling the Ardo Fruitberry mix after hepatitis A was discovered in the product.

Symptoms caused by hepatitis A include fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, dark-colored urine, and jaundice.

Anyone who bought the product should not eat it but return it to the store for a full refund.
