Try the unlimited Solar Crown Not only has it been pushed back to 2023, but the PS4 and Xbox One versions have also been scrapped.
According to Nacon, the delay will allow KT Racing to “make the most polished gaming experience in the franchise” by spending more time on its development.
KT Racing will also use the additional development time to optimize the game and make players more involved. There are plans to schedule closed betas that will allow the team to collect feedback to further improve the quality of the game leading up to release.
Regarding the merging of the current-gen versions, the studio said its goal is to make the most of the latest consoles’ technology in order to maximize the overall quality of the game.
As previously announced, the racer will take place in Hong Kong and promises to maintain the “series DNA” based on a love of “beautiful cars and the joy of driving through a luxurious island world recreated at 1:1 scale”. The game will go further and offer new experiences and will include everything that Hong Kong has to offer, with 550 km of roads in a “playground without borders where the fun never ends”.
In it you compete against others in the Solar Crown competition held by wealthy luxury car enthusiasts. Two visions of luxury have emerged in the city and two clans have formed: the Streets and the Sharps.
Each clan wants to impose their own style on the city, and you will choose who you will team up with to “help defend their lifestyle.” Each clan has a collectible headquarters where you can celebrate victories and find new missions.
The Streets, whose culture has a more underground vibe, gather in an old building they took over for the Solar Crown competition. It is located in the Wan Chai Industrial Zone in the north-central part of the island.
The Sharps have taken over the top floor and balcony of a luxury building in the Western District.
Each HQ has a “Public” section that can be accessed by all players, whether Street or Sharp, but there is also a VIP section that is only open to clan members who have “proven their allegiance”.
Originally scheduled for September 22nd, the game will be released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X/S.
