A schoolgirl was shot dead by the Texas gunman after police told children to call for help, a young survivor claimed.
While Salvador Ramos was still rampaging through Robb Elementary School, a boy said officers who finally entered the school asked hidden students to call out so they could find them.
A boy hid with four others under a table covered with a cloth, which he believed meant the 18-year-old gunman hadn’t seen them.
The boy, whose parents didn’t want his name revealed, told how they did their best to hide.
“When the cops came, the cop said, ‘Shout if you need help!’ And one of the people in my class said, “Help.” The guy heard it and came in and shot her,” the boy said to Kens5.

“The cop barged into this classroom. The guy shot the cop. And the cops started shooting.”
The boy continued, “I hid hard. And I told my friend not to talk because he will hear us.”
It comes after anger among the victims’ parents and other members of the public at what they see about the police’s slow action to finish off the shooter.
An hour is said to have passed since Ramos entered the school and was shot.
In a video posted to Facebook by a man named Angel Ledezma, parents can be seen breaking yellow police tape and yelling at officers to enter the building.

“It’s been an hour and they still can’t get all the kids out,” Mr Ledezma said in the video.
Another video posted to YouTube showed officers holding at least one adult. A woman is heard saying, “Why let the children die?
“We made guys go get kids,” an official tells the crowd. “They work.”
It has now been clarified that no armed police officer was stationed at the school, after it was initially determined by authorities that this had been the case.

The gunman fired more than 25 shots early in the attack, most times shooting, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
The massacre, the latest in a year-long string of mass shootings, has reignited a national debate over the country’s gun laws.
President Joe Biden and his Democrats have promised to push for new restrictions despite opposition from Republicans.
