Police are investigating after a 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in Dorset.
The teenager was taken to hospital in an ambulance after the road accident in Lytchett Matravers, he reported DorsetLive.
Officers investigating the collision are asking any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Dorset Police said they received a report at 4.08pm on Monday of a collision on Wareham Road involving a bus and a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended and the 14-year-old, identified as a local teenager, was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital to be treated for his serious injuries.
Her family was notified of the incident and road closures were put in place as emergency services responded.
Traffic Unit Sergeant Mark Scammell said: “We are conducting a detailed investigation to determine the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with us if you are still.” did not speak to the police.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has captured anything relevant with the dashcam.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in effect. These were necessary to allow emergency services to respond to the incident and conduct an investigation of the crime scene.”
Dorset Police previously tweeted: “Officers investigating a road accident resulting in serious injuries at Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers are seeking witnesses. The collision occurred just before 4:08 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022.”
