The 1975 UK and Ireland tour is set to begin in Brighton

INDIE rock band The 1975 will kick off their UK and Ireland tour in Brighton next year.

The band will begin their 12 day tour at the Brighton Center before performing at The O2 in London, the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow and a homecoming show in Manchester.

The announcement comes as the band released a new track, I’m In Love With You, off their forthcoming album Being Funny In A Foreign Language.

Formed in Manchester in 2002, The 1975 have gained recognition for their exploration of a range of music genres, including R&B, gospel and synth-pop.

The band’s previous album Notes On A Conditional Form was released in 2020 and became their fourth UK No.1 album.

Tickets for the 8th January gig at the Brighton Center go on sale on 9th September at 9am, with fans able to pre-sale tickets from 7th September.

Being Funny In A Foreign Language will be released on October 14th.
