The £3.8 million National Lottery jackpot winner finally comes in with a lucky ticket

The winning ticket holder for Saturday 28th May’s £3.8m jackpot has finally come forward to claim the winning ticket

One lucky winner won a huge £3.8 million National Lottery jackpot today.

Saturday May 28’s drawing was claimed by the single ticket holder, who eventually came forward and claimed the life-changing prize.

Camelot UK Lotteries confirmed that the lucky winner has come forward and is now going through the validation process.

Once this is done, the ticket holder decides whether or not to go public with the prize.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We are delighted that this amazing lottery jackpot prize has now been claimed.

“Our focus now is to support the ticket holder through the process and help them enjoy their truly life-changing win.

“It’s been an incredible few months for lottery players with an incredible 30 millionaires in April and May.”

Whether a person or a group brought the winning ticket with them or where it was bought has not yet been clarified according to the current status.

This information will only be released if the winner or winners choose to go public.

If they go public, they could follow in the footsteps of record Euromillion jackpot winners Joe and Jess Thwaite.

The winning numbers were 05, 16, 24, 34, 44, 57 and the bonus ball was 20

The Gloucestershire couple who went public raked in a staggering £184,262,899.10, making them the UK’s richest National Lottery winners of all time.

They said the inspiration behind their win was Jess’ late father, who used to be a regular lottery player and after a week of deliberation, decided to go public.

While today’s winner takes home a smaller jackpot, it remains a life-changing sum of money.

Despite almost a two-week wait, today’s winner finally came out to claim his money.

This comes after June started with a bang when a huge £20million Lotto jackpot prize from the special ‘Must Be Won’ anniversary draw was won by a lucky Brit.

However, the jackpot drawn on Saturday 4th June has yet to be claimed as it has been approaching for almost a week.
