LAST night the all-new Airpods Pro 2 were unveiled at Apple’s launch event in California.
And that can only mean one thing for the original earbuds – they will come down in price.
Right now you can buy the first-gen AirPods Pro for £189 from Amazon: that’s 21% off the RRP of £239.
At Apple’s Far Out launch event on Wednesday, the second-gen AirPods Pro were officially announced and they look absolutely stunning.
They promise twice the noise cancellation of their predecessors and have an exciting new “spatial sound” feature that immerses you in beautiful, high-quality sound.
The second-gen AirPods Pro 2 will cost the same as the originals when they first launched: £249.
But here’s the thing: the first-gen Apple earbuds are still excellent, market-leading technology. So if your budget doesn’t stretch for the new AirPods Pro, keep an eye on the originals.
They’re on sale for £50 less at the moment, but we’ve seen them drop to £170 in the past.
And after the release of the Airpods Pro 2 (Friday 9th September) we expect that number to drop even further.
If you are also interested in Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro were also unveiled at the launch event.
