The audience of The Masked Singer all shared the same complaint about the show letting fans down

Viewers of THE Masked Singer have stated that they can’t hear the celebrities singing as they whine about the show’s “terrible” sound.

It comes like Will Young, who rose to fame on Pop Idol 20 years ago, was called Lionfish on Saturday’s episode of the ITV show.

Viewers of The Masked Singer present at the show claimed the sound editing was'terrible'.

When the episode aired, outraged fans took to social media and shared angry messages.

One said: “MaskedSinger editing is terrible because you can’t hear the singer, can only hear the crowd and the panel screams.. so annoying”

Another indignant: “Can’t I be the only one who finds the horrible sound on The Masked Singer frustrating? Can’t hear them sing because the background noise is so loud covering the top, audience screaming and too much loud music?”

Another commented: “Love #TheMaskedSinger but the music is a bit too loud. It’s a bit overpowering.”

Appearing on Lorraine on Tuesday, Will, 42, was none the wiser and spoke of his pride singing Giacomo Puccini’s Nessun Dorma on the show.

He said: “It was fun and, you know, one of the things – and I really want to say this – I’m so proud of myself.

“That was one of the highlights of my career, singing Nessun Dorma, because when will I ever get a chance to sing classical music on TV?”

The star said he tried to disguise his voice on the show and that being exposed made him feel “liberated”.

He also sang Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You for the movie-themed week, and was correctly guessed by judges Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora.

Meanwhile, last week viewers lamented that the show’s clues were too hard.

And when M People singer Heather Small was announced at the end of episode two as Chandelier, she also admitted: “The clues are abstract. The jury will not be easy. “

One viewer agreed on Twitter, writing: “The Masked Singer is getting harder and harder… these ‘clues’ are ridiculous.”

“Even Miss Marple can’t crack this batch,” said another.

And another said: “I think the clues there will be helpful.”

The Masked Singer, airing on ITV and ITV Hub, continues at 7pm on Saturday.
