Beat The Chasers: Contestant wins £60,000
Friday’s finale of ITV’s Beat The Chasers thrilled viewers, as contestant Brendan won a whopping £60,000 on the show.
The final contestant of the current series entered five of the six Chasers and won.
He secured £3,000 in the cash builder and was given the option to play with this or a higher amount.
But the higher he gets and the more Chasers he faces, which means he has less of a time advantage over the Chasers.
Mark Labbett, AKA The Beast, lured Brendan by adding £30,000 to an earlier offer of a £30k prize fund, bringing the total to £60k if he were to face him, and Four other puzzles.
Brendan feels he has nothing to lose, saying he was “only here once” when he decided to play with the highest amount on the table.

It’s also a good watch offer, with 44 seconds on their watch and 60 seconds on Brendan’s, giving players a 16-second advantage.
As the game raged, Brendan took the lead as he remained calm and made only a few questions wrong.
He doesn’t take long for answers he doesn’t know, and is able to stay ahead of his opponents.
The Chasers made some mistakes with the wrong answers, but they also gave a quick response to prevent Brendan from beating them.

But they soon ran out of time, and when their clocks hit 0, Brendan’s clock still had 22 seconds left.
Host Bradley Walsh immediately shouted, “Time’s up!” when golden confetti was dropped from the ceiling, and the audience cheered on Brendan.
The contestant was stunned when he realized he had won £60,000, as the Chasers stood up and applauded him.
Jenny Ryan told him: “We were up against it when a player was so calm and lacked nothing. It was a really great performance, you’re in your own zone. Really played well.”
When Bradley congratulated him, Brendan said, “Thank you very much,” before leaving delighted with his win.

Viewers also shared their thoughts, with one saying: “Well done Brendan!! Great performance. Congratulations!”
Another said: “Brendan did a great job winning £60,000, you deserve every penny of it, I’m so happy for you and you played extremely well :).”
The third added: “It has to be one of Brendan’s best performances ever.”
