May and June is the best time to visit as the temperatures are warm but not extremely hot and it will not yet be full of tourists.

UK travelers will be treated as EU citizens upon entry as the Portuguese government has opened its airport e-gates to Britons.

UK citizens with e-passports can skip long physical check lines previously required under Brexit and use e-gates instead when visiting Portugal.

The EU treats the UK as a “third country” due to Brexit requirements, although member states are free to set their own travel laws.

Portugal is the first EU country to ditch manual airport controls in favor of using e-gates to welcome British tourists.
