The best games to play with your kids during the holidays

WHILE outdoor activities are fun when the weather takes a turn, as often happens in winter, you and your kids can be stuck indoors.
This doesn’t have to mean your kids climbing the walls though, there are a number of ways to keep them entertained.
Play is a great option, and it will help build their reactions and problem solving, as well as help you bond with your brood.
Here are the games we recommend to play with your kids when it’s cold outside.
fall guys
Not only does Fall Guys have the benefit of being free to play, but it’s also a lot of fun.
A bit like It’s A Knockout, you play as uncontrollable beans smashing their way through soft playstyle obstacles.

It’s multiplayer, which means you can play together both at home and online, and you can turn off voice chat to keep your child safe.
The rounds are fast and attract children’s attention, and the competitive nature will make you addicted.
If you don’t let them win, you’ll build their resilience and eventually their satisfaction when they beat you.
Minecraft
Minecraft has the benefit of being loved by children and it has a creative sensibility that helps them develop new skills.
You can build everything you can imagine in a world with different building blocks together with your child.
If your kid already has a Minecraft world set up, that’s even better since you can ask them to give you a special tour of everything they’ve accomplished.
You can even have your child teach you how to build things in Minecraft, giving them the sense of accomplishment that can only come from teaching others.
Kirby and the forgotten land
This is a more traditional game that can still offer a lot of value to you and your child.
There’s a co-op mode where you can help each other out with parts of the game that you can’t figure out.
This means no puzzle is unsolvable as you both tackle every issue in your path.
It also has an interesting hubworld with relaxing mini-games where you can compete for the biggest fish or dish out the food the fastest.
rocket league
Rocket League is another game where you should disable chat before playing online, but you can also just play in small groups.
Kids love physics-based games, which is why Fall Guys is popular, and the way the cars in Rocket League “kick” the ball can be a lot of fun.
If your kid is already in Rocket League, let them show you their skills and teach you how to play.
If they are interested in cars or footballs, they will have a hard time putting it down.
Goat Simulator 3
Goat Simulator exists primarily as silly fun, and this entry complements the formula by including multiplayer.
You (or more) can play as goats and wreak havoc across the city while trying to solve the game’s many mysteries.
Or you can take the opposite approach and just lick things and see how far you can throw them.
If you want to see what happens when you put a jetpack on a goat, in a fun and safe way of course, then this is the game for you.
