Recently, he managed to successfully perform a software update called “The Merge”. This much-anticipated move was taken in part to reduce the currency’s carbon footprint.
Since the merger, Ethereum’s energy consumption has dropped by 99%, as has its price, which currently stands at just over €1,300.
