WHATSAPP now lets even more users hide their online status.

The groundbreaking feature – dubbed “stealth mode” by fans – lets you use the app in secret.

At the moment it is impossible to hide the fact that you are online.

All you can do is hide your Last Seen status.

WhatsApp recently started testing the option to completely hide your online status in the beta version of the app.

And a new report from the app detectives at WABetaInfo shows the tests have been rolled out to even more people.

That means you have more chance than ever to try the new trick.

The new feature will be available under Settings > Privacy > Last Seen and Online.

But unfortunately it’s not guaranteed that you’ll be able to use it, even in the beta.

“If the feature is still not available for your WhatsApp account, you are unlucky and will unfortunately have to wait for another update,” explained WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp has been criticized in the past for not allowing users to hide their online status on the app.

“There can be various reasons why people would want to use WhatsApp in stealth mode,” WABetaInfo said.

“Some users want to use WhatsApp without being disturbed by others.

“Or they feel stalked by someone.”

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed release date for this new feature.

It’s not even in a proper beta test yet, so it could be weeks or even months before it’s released to the general public.

If you want to give it a try, follow our guide below to join the WhatsApp beta.

How to get WhatsApp beta

Bonus WhatsApp trick

If that’s not enough for you, here’s a clever WhatsApp trick you might enjoy.

Just open yours Whatsapp On iPhone, enter a chat and type a message.

Then highlight a word (or phrase, or an entire message) and hold your finger.

A pop-up menu will appear: Now tap on the BIU icon.

This allows you to change the style of your font – potentially confusing friends.

Of course, that’s not the only way to achieve this effect.

To make text bold, all you have to do is place an asterisk on either side of the word or phrase you want to make bold, like this: *text goes here*

Likewise, it is also possible to italicize WhatsApp messages, which is great for emphasis: italics.

It works the same as the fat trick but with different symbols.

You must put an underscore on both sides of the word or phrase you want to edit, like this: _text goes here_

The strikethrough function draws a line through your text: crossed out.

It is usually used to indicate that something is wrong or should be ignored.

To get a strikethrough, place a tilde (that’s the squiggly line symbol) on either side of your message, like this: ~text goes here~
