The Biggest Difference Between Sandman and Netflix Original Comics

Rose Walker is arguably one of the most important characters in both the “The Sandman” comics and the show, especially since she’s unknowingly an Endless Cycle of Destruction. However, her family history is slightly altered because of the adaptation of the show, especially the impact of her mother.

At the beginning of the comic book “The Doll’s House”, Rose Walker and her mother, Miranda, travel to Sussex, England, to meet a previously unknown family benefactor. However, when it was time to attend the show, Rose went with her friend Lyta instead. This is because, in the show’s timeline, Miranda Walker (Andi Osho) fell ill at some point and passed away, even though her daughter told her friend she was excited about the trip as she alive.

However, in the end she lived tragically. She is reincarnated as Gault (Ann Ogbomo), a nightmare created by Dream that ends up breaking out and bonding with Jed (Eddie Karanja), Rose’s young and abused brother. After Rose’s great-grandmother, Unity Kincaid (Sandra James-Young) sacrifices herself by nurturing the Vortex, Jed is awakened from captivity, and Dream is able to make Gault a dream rather than a a nightmare.
