YouTube star Vitaly is known for his antics as a streaker at major sporting events like the World Cup and NBA Finals, and even dated famed pitch invader Kinsey Wolanksi.
The social media star is notorious for making his way onto the field at major events, but tonight he will be a legitimate contender when he meets Kristen Hanby in his boxing debut.
The Russian social media celebrity has amassed over 10 million YouTube subscribers, with millions more on Instagram. Facebook and Tik Tok for his outlandish stunts that landed him behind bars.
And he was the mastermind behind the Notorious Champions League last series that made Kinsey Wolanski an internet superstar.
After realizing that YouTube wouldn’t monetize his videos due to a movement called “Adpocalypse” in which they ruled in outlandish content, Vitaly decided to start a show on his own platform.
He dubbed it “Vitaly Uncensored” and enlisted the help of his then-girlfriend Wolanski to get on the pitch at one of the biggest games of 2019 to promote it.
She amassed over two million followers on Instagram before her account was shut down after taking the pitch as Liverpool beat Tottenham in Madrid for the sixth time in the Champions League.
The reason why Vitaly himself did not take part in the action was that he was banned from attending football matches by FIFA after he appeared in the 2014 World Cup final between Germany and Argentina.
He also made headlines two years later at the NBA Finals when he performed the same stunt, which also got him banned from basketball games.
The couple had been together for a number of years, and Vitaly even claimed after their split in 2020 that he felt she would be “the mother of his children”.
And they made headlines after she managed to shine at the biggest game of the 2018-19 season, where Vitaly snuck into a disguise to evade security.
“By the time I’m 30, I plan to make enough money to retire,” Wolanski said of the stunt. “And streaking in the Champions League will only help me achieve that.
“I plan to do a lot more strips to raise my profile.
“After my release from prison, I went from 300,000 followers on Instagram to over two million. You can’t buy that much advertising.
“Suddenly I was famous all over the world and I had a flood of job offers. I don’t think I harmed anyone, it was just a little fun.
“The fans loved it, the players seemed to love it and even the police at the train station asked for my photo when I got off.
“The response was incredible, I couldn’t be happier. It was the biggest thrill of my life.”
The couple split in 2020 but were back in the hospital together when the Russian was hospitalized months later after a skydiving accident.
She stayed by his bedside after he suffered a broken neck and back and was left fighting for his life.
They live very separate lives now and Vitaly has chosen to clean up his act to improve his life ahead of his boxing debut tonight at the OVO Arena Wembley.
“I learned from my mistakes,” he said mirror fight in a candid pre-fight interview. “It’s definitely been a tough two years of my life.
“I was depressed, had substance abuse but I’m sober and healthy now, my mother is fine, I’m happy which is the most important thing.
“I lost everything because of my legal issues and then I broke my back and neck, then I lost a loved one.
“I lost mine too Instagramwhich may sound petty, but that was my biggest source of income, and it all happened in one year.”
