The Chase star Mark Labbett has been dropped from the US version of the show.

Mark, who is known to viewers as The Beast, revealed that he was “gut gutted” after he was never invited back as a chaser in the series.

The 56-year-old star joined the ABC series, but confirmed to fans that a new lineup has been chosen – and he’s not in it.

Mark shared his frustration online and when asked by a fan if he had to return for communication reasons, he said: “No, they didn’t renew with him. me. No reason was given.”

He shared the news after The Chase’s US account tweeted: “New season. New Chasers.

“Victoria Groce, Brandon Blackwell and Buzzy Cohen join Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer on May 3 as #TheChase returns.”

Mark responded to this account: “Didn’t want to be invited back but really excited about the new lineup. I’m expecting Brandon and Victoria to wow America :).”

The TV star added: “They’ll be awesome 🙂 Bonus chance!”

However Mark is busy filming a new series for The Chase UK.

He recently posted a picture of himself and Shaun ‘Dark Destroyer’ Wallace as they strolled together on set.

The star teased: “Very scared, very scared :)” tagged the 61-year-old co-star.

Mark has been in the spotlight lately after he lost a giant stone ten.

The quiz star has dropped massive mass in small steps, admitting it really started through the coronavirus lockdown.

Mark has been on a mission to lose weight for years after reaching the age of 29 at his peak.

It got to the point where he was diagnosed with diabetes and had the skin on his feet not fully healed.

He tried to lose weight here and there for the next few years but he admits that right before he stopped working, he started to lose significant weight.

Mark said: “Several factors come together wonderfully and the weight has just dropped. The main thing is to run after a hyperactive three-year-old locked up when the nurseries are closed.

“Instead of going to the fridge for late-night snacks, all I could do was lie down on a pile in bed.”

Mark changed his diet and instead of eating ‘pub meals’ he switched it to a high protein diet as well as reducing the amount of sugar he consumes.
