The Cliftonville Inn Wetherspoon in Hove is for sale

ONE of the city’s four Wetherspoons has been put up for sale as the pub chain tries to sell dozens of locations across the country.

The chain said it understands customers and employees may be “disappointed” that it is being sold.

It will continue to operate as Wetherspoon until eventually being sold.

The chain confirmed they have no plans to open any more pubs in Sussex at this time.

The Cliftonville is being sold with all fixtures and fittings except cash desks and IT equipment.

It is currently held under a commercial license from JD Wetherspoon, which is set at £103,000 per year and expires in February 2032.

The Cliftonville is licensed to sell alcohol Sunday through Thursday from 9:00am to 12:30am and Friday and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00am.

The sales brochure cites the outdoor seating area and the possibility of creating a roof terrace on the first floor as two of the pub’s notable features.

It says: “Equipment with the exception of all cash registers, EDP equipment, rental and branded items can be sold if required.
