The couple are divided after refusing to change seats because the child was “scared” during the TUI flight

A COUPLE have divided opinion online after refusing to move seats for the daughter of a woman who was “scared of flying”.
The woman explained that she booked flights to Gran Canaria with TUI for herself and her boyfriend and paid £22 for the window and middle seat.
However, she ran into trouble when a mother boarded the plane with her young daughter.
They wrote on the forum: “A lady sat at the end and her daughter was in front.
“She asked if they could have our two places and we could swap her/daughters or my boyfriend with her daughter. I politely said no, which she wasn’t happy about.
“We have ‘what difference does it make. You are adults, my daughter is afraid of flying and underage.’”

She ended her story by saying, “We weren’t going to move anyway. was i wrong
“If it bothered her that much, I’m sure she could have paid like we did.”
Most people were on her side and said the mother wasn’t okay and asked her to move and then made a fuss.”
One person said, “I wouldn’t have moved either.”
Someone else said, “She should have paid. Honestly, people are so tense.”
A third agreed: “She was either too tense or disorganized to pay for a shared seat. Not your problem.”
But not everyone agreed – one person said: “I would have loved to have moved.”
Another person said: “I would have swapped. What an uncomfortable flight.”
Another agreed: “Personally I would have swapped for a child. My partner is an adult and can get through an entire flight without me holding his hand.”
A fourth disagreed: “The airline is unreasonable when they make people pay to sit next to each other.”
It’s not the first time the internet has split opinion over holiday issues — one woman after her turned away by the crew for using her phone Live stream during a flight.
People were divided after a passenger was turned away for using the call button.
And another passenger caused chaos behind them refused to give up an empty row because they wanted to sleep during a flight.
