The crown finds Kate Middleton for season six of the Netflix drama

The crown has found its Kate Middleton.

etflix have been hunting for actors to play Middleton in the show’s sixth and final season, which will show her meeting Prince William at St Andrew’s College in 2001.

Middleton will be played by rookie Meg Bellamy.

It has also been revealed that two new actors have been chosen to play Prince William, with each playing the royal when he is 16 and then 21. The actors are newcomers Rufus Kampa and Ed. McVey.

Diversity report that Crown will be Bellamy’s professional acting debut. She secured the role after submitting an audition tape, after reading about casting on social media.

Production on the sixth season will begin later this year, shortly before the fifth season’s release on Netflix.

The sequel to Peter Morgan’s TV series will see another cast shake-up, with Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce and Lesley Manville playing Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip and Princess Margaret respectively. The crown finds Kate Middleton for season six of the Netflix drama
