The delivery driver who killed the 3-year-old girl by driving over her will not be charged

A delivery driver who killed a three-year-old girl when he ‘accidentally’ drove over her will not be prosecuted.

However, more than a year late, Wiltshire Police have confirmed the driver will not be charged after a thorough investigation.

Milliee-Ann, who had a sister named Rico, was a daughter of Tanzin Wells and Mike McKellar.

After the tragic accident, Wells’ cousin Tara Elizabeth started a fundraiser to raise money for the family.

She said Milliee-Ann is “a happy, cheeky, kind little girl who will be greatly missed,” in quotes reported by Yahoo News.

Among the tributes for Milliee-Ann was a unique one from Chris Wooldridge of nearby Fluffy Puffin Ice Cream, who launched a new flavor in memory of the toddler to raise money for a memorial near her home.

“We have two daughters, ages five and three, and we can’t imagine what the family must be going through,” he said. “We wanted to do something, so we asked the family what Millie-Ann’s favorite ice cream was.

“They said she likes all syrups, so we came up with a ripple ice cream with blue berries and crushed mini eggs.”

Wiltshire Police said they had turned over a file to the Crown Attorney’s Office but that no further access would be given.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “An inquiry into the circumstances of a collision in Calne which sadly killed a three-year-old girl has now been completed.

“The collision occurred at Campion Close on March 3, 2021.

“The young girl collided with a Mercedes Sprinter and tragically died at the scene.

“A thorough investigation was carried out, led by special officers, and a file was sent to Crown Prosecutors who concluded that no further action will be taken against the driver of the van concerned.

“The young girl’s parents have been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this time.”
