A driver was taken to hospital in “life-threatening condition” after a collision with another vehicle.

Officers visited the A29 Bury Hill near the Whiteways Lodge roundabout, Arundel, around 11.10am on Thursday 18 August. A Peugeot and a Range Rover were involved in the collision.

The driver of one of the vehicles involved was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth in a life-threatening condition.

The other driver was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester with minor injuries.

The road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to intervene and the vehicles involved to be recovered, but has since reopened.

Officials investigating the collision would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who may have taken relevant dashcam footage.
